Waterjet cutting creates no heat effected zone
or change in the molecular structure of the material. Unlike typical heat
cutting methods, there is no distortion produced. Generally, it will cost less
to cut with waterjet compared to the usual machining or cutting methods. In
many cases, no secondary removal of slag or damaged material is necessary. And,
there is minimal or no burning.
